Announcements
Make sure the right people read it
Send a message to exactly the people who need it, then see who has read it, department by department.
"Did everyone see the email?"
Important updates get lost in busy inboxes, and you rarely know who read them. Useful puts announcements at the top of each person's dashboard, emails them and tracks every read.
Target precisely
Use the same audience rules as your reviews: roles, everyone below a role, managers only, tags and conditions. You can also target a role's direct reports, or only people without reports.
Know who's read it
See how many people have read it, who they are and which departments are lagging.
Keep it current
Edit a message and everyone is asked to read it again, with each version and its readers kept. Once someone has read it, the message locks until an admin unlocks it, so nobody changes it by accident.
What you can do
Every feature can be switched on or off, so you only use what you need.
- Write messages with rich text
- Reach new starters automatically, or only the people there at launch
- Show unread announcements at the top of each person's dashboard
- Send an email when it launches
- Pause, resume and complete announcements
- Search the list of recipients and see when each one read it
- See exactly who will receive it, by name, while you write
- Employees keep every announcement in one place, read and unread
- Managers can check what each person in their team has read

Questions
Who can send announcements?
Admins.
Do people have to confirm they've read it?
Yes, with a Mark as read button. It's a read receipt, not a formal sign-off.
Do new starters see it?
If you choose to include them. Send to everyone who matches, including people who join later, or only to the people there at launch.
